- Prepare Your Accounts Ensure both your Instagram and Facebook accounts are ready.
- Check Eligibility
a. Public Page on Facebook:
i. If you already have a public page:
ii. If you don’t have a Facebook public page, follow the instructions below on how to create a page on Facebook from your computer:
1) Log in to Facebook.
2)Under Menu, on the left side, click Pages.
3) Below Your Pages and profiles, click Create new Page.
4) Enter the Page name and Category, Click Create Page.

b. Instagram Account:
i. Confirm if your Instagram account is a professional account:
1). If yes:
2). If no, see the instructions below to switch to a professional account:
1. Click on ‘Edit Profile.’
2. Click on ‘Switch to Professional Account.‘
3. Facebook Public Page Connection:
1) If yes, it should be like below on your Instagram Edit Profile page:
2) If no, follow the instructions below:
1. Go to your Instagram profile.
2. Select Edit profile.
3. Under Public Business Information, select Page.
4) Click Login to Facebook in order to connect a Facebook Page
5) Tap Create Facebook Page or Connect a Facebook Page.
6) Tap Connect after you’ve selected a Page or created a new Page
7) Conifrm access on your Facebook business dashboard
8) Continue to your Instagram message settings, please follow the steps under Enable Message Features on Instagram below.

4. Enable Message Features on Instagram
Turn on the message control button by navigating to: Settings and Privacy > Messages and Story Replies > Message Controls. Scroll to the bottom to enable the message feature.
